These are images of electricity pylons or power transmission towers or cables or call them power lines. In major cities in India the power grid runs underground but in many places they are overground, particularly inbetween two urban centres.
There is a power shortage all over India. In some cities there are long power cuts. In rural India it's worse. However, the agricultural sector in India gets subsidized power and this leads to wastage. There is also a fair amount of power thefts in this country, some say almost fifty percent.
